(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 14 - The number of citizens who arrived in Russia from Donbass in Ukraine this morning exceeded 790,000 units, an increase of 18,600 compared to yesterday.
A security agency source referred him to Tass.
"During the day (yesterday, ed.) 18,600 people crossed the Russian border from Ukraine and the Donbass. Overall, more than 790,000 people have already arrived in Russia, including more than 150,000 children," the source said.
Among those who arrived there are 200,000 Russian citizens, more than 440,000 citizens of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) and The Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), and over 128,000 citizens of Ukraine and other states.
Around 20,000 people cross the Russian border every day.
"Refugees are currently being welcomed in 43 regions of Russia, where more than 32,000 people, including nearly 12,000 children, reside in 469 temporary shelters," she added.
