(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 21 - 75,020 new infections from Covid have been registered in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Health Minister.
Yesterday there were 99,848.
On the other hand, the victims are 166, down from 205 recorded in the previous 24 hours.
Molecular and antigenic swabs for coronavirus carried out in the last 24 hours fell to 446,180, compared to 610,600 the previous day.
The positivity rate is 16.8%, up from 16.3% yesterday.
The number of patients admitted to intensive care has risen to 415, 2 more than yesterday in the balance between entries and exits.
Daily admissions are 40. Hospitalized in ordinary wards are instead 10,231, or 24 more than yesterday.
Also according to the ministry's data, there are 1,222,813 people currently positive at Covid, 15,913 more in the last 24 hours.
A total of 15,934,437 Italians have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic, while the dead have risen to 162,264.
There are 14,549,360 remitted and healed, with an increase of 59,916 compared to yesterday.
