According to Public Health France, "the successive withdrawals and recalls of the concerned products of the Kinder brand, produced by the Belgian factory with its closure by the Belgian authorities", should "limit the occurrence in France of new cases of salmonellosis in the next few days/weeks.

However, the health authority recalls that people who have consumed Kinder chocolates and develop gastrointestinal disorders and fever within 72 hours of consumption “are invited to consult their doctor without delay”.

In order to limit transmission from person to person, and in particular within households with young children, SpF finally recommends that parents "wash their hands well with soap and water after going to the toilet, after changing their child, and before cooking.
