Pop singer Semino Rossi wants to withdraw from the public for health reasons by mid-June.
A spokeswoman announced that concerts, TV appearances and interviews as well as related trips by the 59-year-old would be canceled.
The singer, who was born in Argentina and lives in Austria, has pushed his limits in the past few weeks while working on his album »Today I have time for you«.
Rossi wants to support other sufferers
"Like many other people, the current situation is also a burden and an issue for Semino Rossi as an artist and family man," the statement said.
Emotionally, the two years of the corona pandemic as well as current social and political developments have drained more strength than he thought possible.
Rossi made the reason for his temporary withdrawal into private life public "to encourage other people affected in comparable situations to deal with this challenge in order to be able to overcome it".
He wants to show solidarity with people "who are just as insecure and emotionally out of balance and also shy away from the social pressure to admit this supposed weakness".
