For the average Tel Avivian (and frankly not bad for him) the third ear is much more than a record store.
It is one of the most important cultural institutions in the city, a complex that contains besides the mythological shop also a bar, a cafe, a party club and of course a performance club, which was the location without a few of the most exciting and important events in local indie history.
This week the legendary complex celebrated three and a half decades of activity, as well as an architectural refreshment, as well as a new team that has joined the venue and which is determined to make it a pilgrimage hotspot for musicians and DJs from around the world as well.
Yesterday (Wednesday) the place officially opened in its new version, with an evening of performances that included Red Bend, and Gilad Kahana with materials from his new show "Rowing into the Present".
Watch moments from last night.
And turned a deaf ear.
The third ear birthday celebrations and reopening will continue over the holiday and this coming weekend, with performances by Corinne Allal, Hila Ruach, Aya Zehavi Feiglin, WC and others.
