(ANSA) - PALERMO, APRIL 23 - According to the technicians of the Mef and the Region, ANSA learns, Sicily would be entitled to receive 8 billion euros never paid by the State from 2007 to today: this is a sort of 'refreshment' provided for by a national rule as compensation for the increase, which took place 15 years ago, in the share of health costs borne by the Region.
On the basis of the calculations made at the conclusion of a specific technical table at the Mef, the Region from this year should receive, when fully operational, 631 million euros.
If the island were to collect in full the previous 8 billion, the budget deficit, equal to about 7 billion, would suddenly be zeroed.
