A priest was injured in a knife attack in a church in Nice, southern France.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin announced on Sunday that the priest's life was not in danger.
A nun was also injured.
According to a police spokeswoman, the attack occurred during morning mass.
The perpetrator was apparently mentally confused and was arrested.
As Mayor Christian Estrosi announced, he was able to talk to the priest and the nun.
The local politician also spoke of a mentally confused person as the perpetrator.
