(ANSA) - ISLAMABAD, APRIL 26 - The Baluchistan Liberation Army (Bla), a separatist group of the Baluch ethnic group, has claimed responsibility for a "suicide attack" in Karachi that killed four people, including three Chinese citizens, and injured others three.
"The Bla takes responsibility for the suicide attack of today against the Chinese in Karachi," Blake spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement on Telegram, adding that a woman carried out the attack.
The explosion occurred near the Confucius Institute, a Chinese language institute within the center of the University of Karachi.
According to police, four people, including Trecinesi, were killed and three others, including a Chinese, were injured in the attack.
Bla is an ethnic rebel group targeting Pakistani security forces in southwestern Baluchistan and Sindh provinces.
Bla is opposed to any development projects carried out by China and Pakistan in the context of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
