(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 26 - Chefs in Africa, Dignity Kitchen and Cook For Ukraine are the three winning projects in 2022 of the title "Champions of change 2022", a special prize awarded by The World's 50 Best Restaurants.

Now in its second edition, the international recognition celebrates the protagonists of the hospitality world who through their actions innovate and guide change in society and in the sector.

In particular, underline the promoters of the award, "the winners used challenges as levers to create projects that would bring about positive and substantial progress by helping others, improving the gastronomic sector and providing significant support in times of emergency and difficulty.



The winners of The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2022, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, will be hosted in London on Monday 18 July, at the Old Billingsgate market.

A return to the London capital after the cancellation of the ceremony originally scheduled in Russia.

On the London stage, the "Champions of change 2022" award will be awarded in particular to Deieuveil Malonga, chef of the Meza Malonga restaurant in Kigali, inRuanda, founder of the Chefs project in Africa, for training and support for emerging African restaurant talents;

and to Koh Seng Choon, social entrepreneur and founder of Dignity Kitchen, the first collective catering center in Asia run by people with disabilities, present in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Simultaneously awarded Olia Hercules and AlissaTimoshkina,

the first of Ukrainian origins and the second Russian, maresident in London, founders of #CookForUkraine, a fundraising initiative supported by the city's restaurants, which in addition to supporting the Ukrainian people, promotes knowledge of the country's gastronomic culture.
