An unknown person has now stolen similar sculptures by the Chinese artist in Hamburg

An unknown person has stolen three sculptures by contemporary Chinese artist Ai Weiwei from an art gallery in downtown Hamburg.
As reported by the police in the Hanseatic city, the perpetrator stole the glass works of art from a display case unnoticed on Monday afternoon during opening hours.
According to the officials, each of the three sculptures shows “a hand with the middle finger stretched out”.
Details about the theft were not made public.
Witnesses were asked to contact investigators with information.
Ai lives as a dissident in western exile.
The outstretched middle finger refers to a well-known photo series of his, the sculptures are sold commercially in limited numbers.
