Carolyn experiences non-contact orgasm (karolintsarski)

The sex counselor, Carolyn Chersky, claims that she was able to achieve the "holy grail" of the power of consciousness, when, according to her, during "Tantric training" she was able to reach orgasm without any stimulation of the penis.

That is, she was able to reach a sexual outlet with the help of thought alone.

Sounds too good to be true?

A study published in the journal Sexual Medicine claims to confirm her claims - showing that she did have an increase in orgasm-related hormones during the experience.

Carolyn is the second author of the study and also the subject of the study, and since her status as a writer and her involvement in data analysis add potential for bias, she sought out another expert in the field who would agree with her claims.

Carolyn offers online courses that teach "how to bring about sexual arousal and a deeper connection with the sexual energy, feminine essence and deep 'ionic wisdom' of each of us."

She also shared an adult-only video (which is also not for office viewing - watch out) that deals with her research:

Orgasm, which is usually caused by stimulation of the penis, involves stimulation of neural pathways that lead to overflow of hormones and a state of euphoria.

Some women claim that they are able to control both its onset and the duration of orgasm through tantric training, but the actual evidence for this is limited.

However, there is ample evidence of women experiencing orgasms in a variety of scenarios that you would not expect - whether during sleep, exercise or while viewing pictures.

All of this suggests that there is some sort of “top-down” control over orgasms that scientists do not yet fully understand.

In this study, Carolyn Chersky caused herself to reach orgasm without stimulation of the penis or contact with herself at all, and a number of biological indices were used to try and understand how she does this.

Blood samples were taken from before, during and after the thought-provoking orgasm, levels of the hormone from the yolk, follicle-stimulating hormone, free testosterone and prolactin in the blood - and all of these data were compared to diagnose any changes.

The experiment was also performed in a situation where she simply read a book as a control.

Prolactin in particular is an effective indicator of the quality of orgasm - an increase in prolactin indicates an orgasm similar to those that originate in the stimulation of the penis.

After a 5-minute "mental orgasm," her blood prolactin levels rose by 25 percent, while a similar process that lasted 10 minutes caused her prolactin levels to rise by 48 percent.

The other hormones did not show a similar pattern, although the hormone from Ehlman did rise during the 5 minute round.

These results suggest that Carolyn can only reach orgasm through her brain and tantric training, suggesting that while most orgasms are "bottom-up", it may be possible to rely on fantasy to cause almost the same condition - without the need to stimulate the penis.

The actual mechanisms of the game between the brain and the nervous system are not yet fully understood, but years of training (at least according to Carolyn) in yoga and tantra may lead to a state of mind that can control our orgasms.
