In an attempt to regain the interest of young people, increasingly on TikTok, Snap, the company that develops the Snapchat social network, presented the Pixy drone.

It is yellow, portable and works in a very simple way, without the aid of smartphone apps or foreign controllers.

Just hold it in the palm of your hand, bring it up and wait for it to take photos or shoot videos to share on Snapchat.

The sale is, for the moment, limited to the United States and France, while stocks last and priced at $ 229.99.

"Today we are taking the power and magic of the Snap Camera to new heights," said Snap CEO Evan Spiegel during the keynote presentation at Snap Partner Summit.

"Pixy, the flying camera, is a pocket-sized companion for adventures big and small."

The drone integrates four preconfigured flight paths.

It can float, orbit the user, follow them while walking or running.

Just press the button on the dashboard to let it fly through the air.

You will then need to put the palm of your hand back under the drone in flight to make it land.

Pixy captures 2.7k video and 12 megapixel photos.

It weighs 101 grams and with a single charge it allows you to perform five to eight flights, depending on the duration.

During the Snap Partner Summit, the company also unveiled new ways of integrating services dedicated to shopping in augmented reality and the arrival of the Ray Tracing function on Lens Studio.

Thanks to these,

objects in AR can have a reflection very similar to that of real life.

Additionally, Snap has announced a partnership with Live Nation that will make augmented reality content with artists and bands possible.
