A 26-year-old died in a dispute between young people on a sports field in Bielefeld and a 16-year-old was seriously injured.
As a result of the fact, a 15-year-old turned himself in to the police, he is now in custody for manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.
This was announced by the police and the public prosecutor's office on Saturday afternoon.
According to the information, several emergency calls about a dispute between young people on a school sports field were received on Friday evening.
When emergency services arrived, there were several people there - including the 26-year-old, who, according to initial findings, had been fatally injured by knife wounds.
Despite attempts at resuscitation, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
The 15-year-old from Bielefeld is suspected of having attacked the 26-year-old with a knife.
Investigations into the exact sequence of events and the motive are ongoing.
