In recent weeks, complaints have been mounting in several cities in France from women and men who say they have been stabbed in a bar, nightclub or at a concert.
This is how the mysterious stabbings happened in Nantes, Rennes, Béziers and Grenoble – this is now reported by the newspaper “Le Monde” and confirmed by the French police.
However, investigations so far have apparently not revealed any substances in the bodies of those attacked.
However, certain drugs such as GHB, also known under the names "liquid ecstasy" or "rape drug", could no longer be detected after a short time, say experts.
According to the broadcaster France Info, the judiciary initiated a total of 130 investigations into the incidents.
Some felt a spade
Media had previously reported of revelers who suddenly became dizzy or had a headache.
Later they would then have noticed a small wound as from a syringe.
Some would also have felt a spade.
In the »Le Monde«, a student reports that he felt like he was on drugs, and during the night a pain in his right leg extended to his buttocks.
The next day, his doctor discovers an injection mark on the student's butt.

Police advised unsettled partygoers to look out for each other and report incidents.
Those who have been attacked should go to the hospital immediately to be examined.
As early as last autumn, female party guests in Great Britain in particular had reported very similar attacks with injections, which led to health problems such as paralysis in the legs, nausea, speech disorders and memory loss.
There, too, they noticed puncture marks in the skin.
An initiative then called for a boycott of pubs and clubs that do not tighten their security measures.
