announced today that he is ready to step down should police impose a fine on him in the coming weeks as part of a reopened investigation into suspicion of a mini Partygate (aka Beergate) involving him too.
The alleged scandal has to do in his case with the participation in April 2021 in a party gathering that would have been held in apparent violation of the anti-Covid restrictions then in force: not too differently from what was previously disputed with disdain to the premier conservative Boris Johnson and Downing Street.
