(ANSA) - VERONA, MAY 22 - A 29-year-old girl was hit and killed by a pirate car this morning, around 5.30, in Verona.
The young woman, who was walking with a friend on a sidewalk, near Porta Vescovo, was hit in full and died instantly.
The driver, a 26-year-old Veronese driving a Volkswagen Polo, fled after the accident, without providing help.
But he was intercepted and stopped shortly after by a local police patrol near a nightclub.
The results of the investigations on his psychophysical state are now awaited.
