A lot of rhubarb stalks just want to be processed.

This is particularly tasty and easy with this impressive rhubarb pudding tart.

It's baked so quickly.

During the harvest season, there is a lot of fruit or vegetables that need to be processed at the same time.

Luckily, rhubarb recipes are similarly plentiful, so there's plenty to try.

Rhubarb pudding tart recipe: the ingredients

For the pudding:

  • 1 packet vanilla custard powder

  • 250ml milk

  • 250 ml cream

  • 40 grams of sugar

For the ground:

  • 230 grams of flour

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 80 grams of sugar

  • 150g softened butter

For the filling:

  • 300 g rhubarb, cleaned

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp water

How to bake the rhubarb pudding tart in no time

  • Preheat your oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat.

  • Prepare the pudding according to package directions and set aside to cool slightly.

    Cover it with cling film to keep it from forming a skin.

  • For the base of the tart, quickly work the flour, salt, sugar and butter into a smooth dough.

    Grease the tart pan (promotional link) with butter, margarine or a special release agent and spread the dough in it.

    Pull the edge up a little and prick the bottom with a fork.

    Then cover the mold with cling film and put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

  • Cut the cleaned rhubarb into pieces about 1 cm long and sauté them with water and sugar in a saucepan or pan for about three minutes.

    Allow the rhubarb to cool slightly.

  • Spread the prepared pudding on the tart base and then top it with the diced rhubarb.

  • Then slide the rhubarb pudding tart into the oven and bake for 30 or 35 minutes, depending on the oven setting, until golden brown.

  • Take them out of the oven and let them cool.

  • Before serving, sprinkle the tart with some powdered sugar and serve with fresh cream.
