(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 29 - Characters from his favorite comics, but also reinterpretations of works by the artists who have struck his imagination most, from Picasso to Mirò.

These are the works of a very young painter, Luigi, 16, who suffers from a disorder of the autistic spectrum, exhibited yesterday in the Casina Vanvitelliana of the Parco del Fusaro, in the province of Naples.

The initiative was born from an idea of prof.

Armando Tallone, Luigi's support teacher, with the support of the school director Marco Wolfler Calvo and the support of the Municipalities of Bacoli and Monte di Procida.

The exhibition will remain open until Thursday 2 June.

Daniela, Luigi's mother, comments: "I expect you to understand the fundamental message we want to give: an autistic boy must not only be assisted and contained, but on the contrary stimulated and solicited in order to allow him to do things together with others, sometimes even better than others" .

The exhibition features 25 works by Luigi.

Each of his drawings was exhibited in the original format version with the giant canvas on the side.

Luigi's parents and his support teacher founded an association called 'Wandering Metaphysicians',

to promote opportunities for autistic children to express and communicate.

Any proceeds from the sale of Luigi's works, exhibited at the exhibition, will be used to finance the activities of the Association (ANSA).
