EU: sanctions against Russia, ambassadors meeting in the afternoon 27

The meeting of the ambassadors of the 27 (Coreper) has been called for today, in the early afternoon.

This is the last meeting of the Sherpas before the extraordinary European summit to be held on Monday and Tuesday.

And on the table of the meeting there will be the draft of the conclusions of the European Council and the dossier of the sixth package of sanctions against Russia.

At the moment, in the text of the conclusions there is no reference to sanctions and the embargo on oil and, formally, the issue is not included in the agenda of the summit of leaders.

But the EU has accelerated in recent hours to find a compromise that provides for the exemption of the Druzhba pipeline from the oil embargo, which brings crude oil first of all to Hungary.
