Dr Disrespect recently showed what effects a Twitch ban can have.

Absurd rules prevailed at his self-organized Fortnite tournament.

Encinitas, California – Once a ban is in place on Twitch or any other streaming platform, the person affected is virtually wiped out.

Dr Disrespect can tell you a thing or two about that.

The streamer has a turbulent past with Twitch, which has recently gotten in his way again.

As reported by IPPEN.MEDIA ingame.de, the streamer recently hosted a Fortnite tournament, but the participants had to abide by some extremely questionable rules regarding the host.

Dr Disrespect: Streamers are not allowed to mention his name at the Fortnite tournament

What was that tournament?

Last weekend, Dr Disrespect started with a specially organized tournament in Fortnite.

The

Hot Shot Duo Drop featuring Fortnite

took place on Twitch on May 27th and put the Doc and numerous other players in contention for a $100,000 prize pool.

The entire tournament ran in a collective stream on YouTube, but fans could also watch the individual participants in their own streams.

However, those who streamed via Twitch had to observe a few completely absurd regulations.

What are the rules?

Ahead of the tournament, many of the participating streamers received a notification from BoomTV about the tournament guidelines.

It said the team understands that people banned from Twitch could appear in third-party events, such as the Dr Disrespect Fortnite tournament.

At the same time, Twitch warned affected players to remove these banned people from broadcasts as much as possible.

In doing so, BoomTV encourages tournament participants to exclusively title the Fortnite tournament as “

Hot Shot Duo Drop Featuring Fortnite

”.

But it doesn't stop with this tongue twister, people aren't even allowed to mention the name "Dr Disrespect" in the stream.

But BoomTV offers alternatives, names like “

two-time

” or “

Blockbuster video game champion

” are completely justifiable for the platform, for example – titles that the eccentric streamer gave himself.

By the way, Fortnite will start Season 3 very soon.

Why was the name banned?

Anyone who knows the past of Dr Disrespect and Twitch should have quickly recognized the connection between these absurd rules.

The streaming star has been permanently banned from the platform for several years after his stream was suddenly interrupted in the middle of summer 2020.

To date, Dr Disrespect, real name Hershel Beahm IV, has not been unlocked.

In early 2022, the Doc even went to court against Twitch, but after an agreement, neither party admitted to wrongdoing.

The platform does not seem to be on good terms with the streamer to this day.

Twitch's excessive measures also anger people other than Dr Disrespect.

Various streamers, such as JaredFPS or OpTic ZLaner, reacted to the absurd regulations for the Fortnite tournament via Twitter.

Almost all of them expressed their incomprehension to BoomTV and defended the Doc.

"

The tiniest p**** I've ever seen

" is what Warzone pro ZLaner called the matter.
