(ANSA) - LONDON, MAY 30 - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson returned today to point the finger at Russian President Vladimir Putin for the invasion of Ukraine, denouncing in particular the blockade of the Black Sea as an additional element among the factors that cause the spectrum of a food-related threat to the world.
This was reported by Downing Street, citing what BoJo said in a conversation with the head of the Sri Lankan government, Ranil Wickremesinghe, with whom he "congratulated on the recent confirmation" of the elections.
"The Prime Minister - reads the note released from London - highlighted the role of Putine's barbaric invasion of the senseless blockade of the Black Sea in exacerbating the current difficulties on global supplies of basic food products" such as wheat.
"He also highlighted the need for the entire international community to act against the horrors that Putin is inflicting on the Ukrainian people."
