After purchasing a 9-euro ticket, passengers should promptly write their name on the ticket.
Munich – Passengers who buy a 9-euro paper ticket from the ticket machine should have a pen handy.
Because the special ticket is only valid if the name of the owner is entered.
Anyone who buys a 9-euro ticket cannot lend it.
The name should be on it - and only this one person is allowed to drive it.
9-Euro-Ticket: It's better to enter your name right away
It is important to write the name clearly and legibly.
Under no circumstances should only initials be written down or even signed.
People enter their names on the designated name line.
At least in theory.
In practice, tens of thousands of Munich residents have to be flexible here.
In the first few days, MVG sold 9-euro tickets without the name field.
One cannot speak of wrong tickets, emphasized a spokesman.
They would still be valid.
A mistake was not made either, otherwise it was technically not possible on the first two days of the sale.
After that it was changed.
If you couldn't wait and own a "wrong" ticket, simply write your name down on the back.
Anyone who buys their ticket online, on the other hand, usually receives a personalized ticket.

The terms of use also state that a valid photo ID in connection with the 9-euro ticket must also be shown during a ticket inspection.
Those who come across gracious inspectors can probably prove their identity with a driver's license or another form of identification such as a school or student ID card
