If Covid-19 no longer causes a very large number of serious forms (less than 400 daily hospitalizations against 2,800 at the peak of late January and 1,800 at that of mid-April), the pandemic is not over.
New waves in the coming months and even years are plausible, as with influenza, due to declining immunity or even the emergence of new variants.
