First of all, the graphic novel is derived from the novel by author Nancy Springer.

When Enola Holmes discovers on the day of her fourteenth birthday that her mother has disappeared and left her only a bouquet of flowers and a diary with secret messages, she immediately sets out to find her.

Enola will need all her ingenuity and wit to flee her family manor and follow her mother's trail in London, as her two brothers - none other than the famous detective Sherlock Holmes and senior government official Mycroft - are determined to take her to London a boarding school so that she can become a real lady.
