Two people have apparently died in a supermarket in Schwalmstadt.
This was announced by the police in North Hesse.
Accordingly, firearms were used "shortly after 1 p.m." on Tuesday in a grocery store in the Treysa district.
"Two people were found dead in the market," it said.
The background was initially unclear, the police said.
There is no ongoing danger.
According to the "Hessisch-Niedersächsische-Allgemeine", which refers to a witness on site, a man in the Aldi branch on Wierastrasse is said to have initially followed a woman.
She called out loud for help, but was then shot by her pursuer.
The man then turned the gun on himself.
Further backgrounds were not initially known.
