(which he also owns) from the podium of the White House briefing room.
McConaughey said he was in Washington to share the stories of Uvalde's victims and their families, where he returned for a week after the massacre, hoping to persuade lawmakers to approve new measures.
"As we honor and acknowledge the victims, we must recognize that this time it seems that there is something different," he said, hoping that the right moment will become a reality. "It seems that real change can happen," he added referring to the negotiations in course between dem and republicans.
