As part of the merger between Warner Bros and Discovery, the new American entertainment giant is appointing its regional managers.
Pierre Branco, who succeeded Iris Knobloch as head of WarnerMedia France, Benelux, the Middle East and Africa, is today appointed Chief Executive Officer of Warner Bros.

He therefore directs the production activities of French films, the next of which will be Simone, a biopic of Simone Veil directed by Olivier Dahan.
In 2022, Warner Bros Discovery will produce and distribute 5 French films and aims to increase this number to 6 to 8 films per year.
He will also supervise the production of French series including Visitors directed by Simon Astier as well as the distribution of major films including the next Elvis presented at Cannes.
Following the merger, it took over the activities of the Discovery group's pay channels, including Eurosport and the Discovery Channel.
Finally, he will be responsible for launching in France, probably in early 2023, the future SVOD platform which will bring together HBO Max and Discovery + in the same service.
Pierre Branco already manages the HBO Max platform launched last March in the Netherlands.
During his 15 years with Warner Media, Pierre Branco held several positions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
