(ANSA) - FLORENCE, JUN 08 - The facade of the basilica of Santa Maria Novella in Florence lights up with light and color with dynamic and connected lighting: Firenze Smart, the public company that manages the lighting and smart services of the city, has commissioned Signify to create the lighting restyling of the facade of the basilica in the center of Florence.
This was announced by the company active in the lighting sector in a note.
In the Basilica, the company explains, the focus was on enhancing the white marble facade through the use of a less warm light than the rest of the square and the historic center, while the decoration of the 'sun' was kept in warm light to emphasize the identity of the basilica.
Firenze Smart coordinated the works and implemented the installation of the Signify lighting fixtures.
Signify equipment and software for remote monitoring and management of lighting scenarios make it possible to enhance the exterior of the building thanks to dynamic architectural lighting, also guaranteeing greater energy efficiency.
