While strolling on certain beaches of the Atlantic coast, walkers have already been able to see the sea blush.
The Côte d'Amour, on which several seaside resorts extend such as La Baule, Pornichet or the small coastal village of Piriac-sur-Mer, has observed in recent weeks a high concentration of microalgae on some of its beaches.
Result: these organisms color the water, make it sticky and can, in some cases, disturb the marine balance.
Swimming remains possible, although it is advisable to shower when leaving the water, recommends Cap Atlantique, the agglomeration community of the Guérande peninsula.
