A 12-year-old boy was insulted and physically attacked in Hamburg by two unknown men for apparently racist reasons.
As the police in the Hanseatic city announced, according to previous knowledge, they hit the boy with their fists and a walking stick.
The incident happened on Wednesday in the Billstedt district, the boy was on his way home.
According to the investigators, he walked past two men sitting on a bench, both of whom are said to have been drunk.
They first insulted him racistly, then one of the two pursued him, pushed the 12-year-old to the ground and punched him in the shoulder and stomach, it was said.
The other hit his leg with a walking stick.
State security determined
According to the report, the boy suffered minor bruises and ran home, from where the police were alerted.
According to the officials, a search for the two suspects was unsuccessful.
Only a walking stick was found in the area of the crime scene.
The two men are said to have been drunk.
The state protection of the Hamburg police took over the investigation and asked any witnesses for information.
