The anti-terrorism prosecutor asked today, at the trial for the
massacres of 13 November 2015
in France, a life sentence with a maximum security prison term against
Salah Abdeslam
, the only surviving member of the jihadist commandos.
The request provides for the
impossibility of any penalty discount
during the period of maximum security, a very rare sanction in France but required "given the immense gravity of the facts" disputed.
Salah Abdeslam, 32, from France, is the only survivor of the jihadists who in 2015 caused
130 deaths
in Paris and Saint-Denis.
Ninety people died at the Bataclan theater.
Among these the Italian
Valeria Solesin
.
