After the warning issued in April at Matignon, the press is now turning to Bercy.
In a note sent to the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, in early June, the Alliance de la presse d'information générale (Apig), which represents 300 national and regional titles, requests emergency financial aid for weakened newspapers by soaring paper prices.
“The previous government did not seem to have taken the measure of the situation.
We hope that the newcomer will become aware of this”
, confides Pierre Petillault, general manager of Apig.
