A German Bundeswehr soldier who had an accident in Tyrol and was buried by rocks has been recovered dead.
This was announced by the Austrian police.
He was a soldier in the Special Forces Command (KSK), an elite unit that completed mountain training in Tyrol.
He was caught when 50 cubic meters of rocks fell down the mountain.
Because of fog, wetness and the danger of loose rock, the Austrian mountain rescuers had to stop their search near the border with Bavaria for the time being.
On Friday afternoon, military and police forces were able to locate the 30-year-old.
The man's body had already been brought down into the valley.
