Thailand has just relaxed its cannabis laws.
Since June 9, Thais now have the right to possess or consume this plant.
In 2018, medicinal marijuana had already been legalized.
A historic decision for this Southeast Asian country, where anti-drug laws are particularly severe.
Previously, the legislation provided for very heavy fines and nearly 10 years in prison for cannabis holders.
"It's like a dream come true," said Rattapon Sanrak, who owns the Highland Café coffee shop in Bangkok.

Despite this relaxation, Thais are still not allowed to smoke cannabis outside their homes.
The consumption of flowers whose THC level exceeds 0.2% is also prohibited.
Offenders are still liable to fines of €780 as well as three days in prison.
