The FIFA Disciplinary Committee rejected Chile's appeal, confirming Ecuador's participation in the final phase of the next World Cup in Qatar.
This was announced by the same body that manages football in the world.
"The Fifa Disciplinary has made its decision in relation to the potential ineligibility of player Byron David Castillo Segura regarding his participation in eight qualifying matches of the Ecuadorian Football Federation National team in the preliminary competition of the Qatar 2022 World Cup", reads the Note.
The decision remains subject to possible appeal.
