A Deal with God
had to be changed lest it be censored in countries deemed more religious such as Italy, France and Australia, makes its big comeback at the top charts all over the world.
Just days after the release of the fourth season of the Netflix series
Stranger Things
in which Kate Bush's hit plays a crucial role, the title ranks first in all rankings on Spotify and iTunes.
The title is also ultra-popular on social networks, especially on TikTok where more than a million videos use it as a soundtrack.

“
Running Up That Hill
is getting a whole new life”
A comeback thanks to which the British singer hardly expected.
The artist, who has often put his family life before his musical career, returned to the stage in 2014, after 35 years of absence.
Since then, Kate Bush has been very discreet in the media.
However, she published a message on her website for her fans, relayed by the Netflix Twitter account.
“You may have heard that the first part of the fantastic and captivating new series
Stranger Things
was recently released on Netflix.
It features the song
Running Up That Hill
, which is getting a whole new life thanks to the show's young fans – I love it too!”
she comments.
In a second message published a few days later, while the song pulverized the records reached in 1985, the artist was surprised and delighted with the dazzling success.
“It's totally awesome!
It's hard to fathom how quickly this has all happened since the release of the first part of the new season of
Stranger Things
.
So many young people who love the series, discover the song for the first time,”
she wrote.
Before adding:
“The answer to
Running Up That Hill
is something that has had its own energy and evolution.
It's about a direct relationship between the show and its audience, which happened outside of the music industry.
Kate Bush also took the opportunity to thank the Duffer brothers, Matt and Ross, creators of the series
Stranger Things
:
"Thank you very much to everyone who supported the song and a special thank you to the Duffer brothers for creating something with so much heart."
It would also seem that the return of the singer to the front of the stage does not stop there since other titles like
Wuthering Heights
or even
Babooshka
are also experiencing a resurgence in popularity on streaming platforms.
