Pixar's Toy Story spinoff Lightyear won't air in some countries because it features two women kissing.

because of a same-sex kiss, according to
Variety .

As per the report, Disney previously edited the kiss between two homosexual characters from the Pixar film itself.
In one scene, the Space Ranger character Alisha and her partner kiss on the lips in greeting

"Overtly gay affection" should be censored, according to the report.
Only because of an open letter from the Pixar animators did Disney put the kissing scene back into Lightyear.
United Arab Emirates tolerated lesbian kissing in Toy Story spinoff Lightyear - until social media complained about "insulting Islam".
Variety
believes that "Lightyear" was never submitted to the Saudi censorship board in the first place, knowing it wouldn't pass anyway.
In the United Arab Emirates, the "Toy Story" prequel "Lightyear" was first approved and now banned.

are generally cut to comply with censorship regulations.
The Southeast Asian country of Malaysia, which is becoming less and less aligned with Western values, has rejected all films containing "homosexual and unnatural sex," according to the report.
