The President of the Region,
Alberto Cirio
, outlined the picture of the drought situation, underlining that "at the moment the situation is under control as regards the civil uses of drinking water, but we have a very serious state of emergency for agriculture".
Piedmont "is experiencing a water crisis worse than that of 2003,
