The success rate of students in the General Secondary Certificate exams in its literary branch at the Institute of Special Education for the Rehabilitation of the Blind in Damascus, affiliated with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, has reached 100 percent, according to its director, Nada Abu Al-Shamat.

In a statement to SANA, Abu al-Shamat indicated that the reason for this success rate is due to the students' strong will and determination to prove themselves and follow up their educational attainment, in addition to the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff at the institute, the attention and follow-up of parents for their children, and the creation of psychological support and the appropriate atmosphere for them.

Abu Al-Shamat pointed out that the number of students of the institute reaches more than 160 male and female students from 6 to 18 years of age who receive their education according to the curriculum of the Ministry of Education, which is printed in audio Braille for students of basic and secondary education certificates, which gives the student the option of listening or reading.

Abu Al-Shamat pointed out that the first students at the institute are Ghassan Husam Al-Samarah, who got the first place with a total of 2309 marks, and Laith Allah Samir Majrakash with 2287 marks, and the student Jawad Ali Alloush in the third place with a total of 2213.

And about his future ambitions, student Jawad Alloush spoke, saying: “He wants to enter the Department of English Literature, specializing in translation.” While student Judi Suleiman indicated that she wants to work in the media field after her success, adding that a person can make the impossible if he has the mind and the will.
