"Sopranos" star Anthony (Tony) Siriko died yesterday (Friday) at the age of 79.
"The family is very grateful for the many expressions of love, prayer and condolences," his family said.
The cause of his death was not given.
Siriko is best known for his role as a double Gutierre in HBO's cult drama.
In 1994, he starred in Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway.
He also starred in five more Allen films, but the role of the lovable but murderous gangster is what brought him to fame.
