The day after the end of the catch-up sessions, the final results for the 2022 baccalaureate fell: 91.1% of the candidates obtained their diploma.
This rate is down 2.8 points compared to the June 2021 session.
In detail, the success rate for the general baccalaureate is 96.1%, down 1.5 points compared to that of the June 2021 session. That for the technological baccalaureate is 90.6%, down by 3.5 points compared to the June 2021 session, and that of the professional baccalaureate reached 82.3%, i.e. 4.5 points less than in the 2021 session.
Remedial sessions took place from Wednesday to Friday for students who obtained a mark between 8 and less than 10.
More than 700,000 applicants this year
This year, the tests for the new general baccalaureate took place in full, for the first time after two years disrupted by the Covid.
The two specialty tests taken by each candidate, however, had to be postponed from March to May and adjustments decided due to the health crisis.

Since the 2019 reform, the baccalaureate mark is based 40% on continuous assessment and 60% on final exams.
"Continuous monitoring exists in most countries of the world" and "is the subject of work" which shows "that it is fair", recalled the minister this week.
The success rates before retake were 91.5% for the general baccalaureate (-3.8 points compared to 2021), 80.6% (-8.6 points) for the technological baccalaureate and 78.7% (-3.5%) for the vocational baccalaureate, according to figures from the ministry.
Of the 709,399 candidates this year, more than half (53.7%) presented the general baccalaureate.
They are 26.2% to have passed the vocational baccalaureate and 20% the technological baccalaureate.
