(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 09 - Between 2015 and 2019 over 2 thousand cases of accidents in water were identified and analyzed in Italy, of which 1209 were fatal.
The victims are mostly men, with the most affected age group being between 45 and 64 years.
14% (one in 7) involved children, who were serious in 68% of cases.
The data were collected by the Superior Institute of Health, and were presented at the EU Safety Conference, which took place in Vienna on 23 and 24 June.
