CDU leader Friedrich Merz and his wife Charlotte came to Sylt with their private plane for the wedding of Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) and journalist Franca Lehfeldt.
Merz himself was in the cockpit of the plane on Friday.
He and his wife are on the guest list for the wedding party.
On Thursday, Merz still had something to do in Berlin: he attended the stable guard party in the state representation of Baden-Württemberg.
On the Friday after the Bundestag, the flight went to Sylt to celebrate.
For Lindner and Lehfeldt it is three days full of ceremonies and celebrations: After the civil wedding on Thursday, according to information from the German Press Agency, there will be a bachelorette party on Friday.
The couple plans to get married in a church on Saturday.
According to media reports, it is the Church of St. Severin in Keitum.
According to reports, there will be a celebration in the evening in the »Zanzibar«.

On Thursday, the first curious people and journalists had been waiting for the couple on the meadow in front of the Sylt Museum and on the street in front of it since the morning.
The couple then got married in a civil ceremony in the Sylt Museum in the afternoon.

She works as a political reporter for the Welt news channel, which belongs to the Axel Springer media group.
It was announced last October that she and Lindner had gotten engaged.
"We are overjoyed," Lehfeldt told the RTL broadcaster, for which she was still working.
