With the participation of Syria, the World Physics Olympiad for 2022, whose 52nd session is organized by Switzerland "remotely", was launched today over five days, with the participation of 375 male and female students representing 75 countries from around the world.
The Excellence and Creativity Commission stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of it today that the Olympiad team participating in the competitions from the commission’s headquarters in Damascus includes students Salman Muhammad Aji from the third secondary grade from the National Center for Distinguished and Alaa Munther Hussein from the third secondary grade from the National Center for Distinguished and Ammar Yasser Rajab is from the third secondary grade of Al-Shaheed Al-Kumait Belidi School for Outstanding Students in Lattakia, Ammar Wael Ali is from the third secondary grade from Al-Shaheed Younes Bilal School from Latakia, and Muhammad Zaher Ayroud is from the second grade of secondary school from Al-Basel School in Aleppo.
The Olympic competitions include two “practical” tests held today for a period of 5 continuous hours, and a “theoretical” test to be held next Wednesday, which also lasts 5 continuous hours.
In conjunction with this participation, the Syrian Mathematical Olympiad team is participating in the 63rd World Mathematical Olympiad hosted by Norway, while the Syrian Scientific Olympiad team for Biology is participating in the 33rd World Biology Olympiad in Armenia.
