In Mallorca, a woman and her husband were injured when a balcony collapsed.
The accident happened on Wednesday around ten o'clock in the center of the island's capital, Palma, as reported by several media, citing the authorities.
The French couple was hit by falling parts of the balcony and taken to the hospital.
The vacationers were lucky that they were not hit on the head by the five to ten kilogram chunks, wrote the "Mallorca-Zeitung".
According to initial information, the injuries were not serious, according to "mallorcadiario.com".
The cause of the accident is still unknown.
However, the media pointed out that the dilapidated residential building on a busy shopping street not far from the historic Plaça Major square is currently undergoing a thorough renovation.
The police cordoned off the scene of the accident.
Construction work on the house has been suspended until further notice.
