Jamie Spears ,
Britney Spears
' 70-year-old father
, received a court order to testify by August 12 on how he managed his daughter's finances for years and intercepted all external communications.
The deposition was requested by
pop star
attorney Mathew Rosengart and endorsed by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penney.
"Jamie has so far escaped requests to account for and account for his actions, but he must do so under oath as a provost by law," the singer's lawyer said.
In turn, Jamie's lawyer, Alex Weingarten, also asked Britney to testify on the arson charges she made on her social profiles against her family after the end of the legal guardianship she was subjected to for over 13 years.
Rosengart called this request "a retaliation" and an "abuse of the legal process" to distract attention from the real problem, namely the father's misuse of his daughter's assets and the espionage exercised on her every action.
