A king boa that supposedly escaped from an apartment has employed numerous fire brigade and police forces in Hattersheim, Hesse.
Around 80 emergency services cordoned off the area around the house in question on Wednesday evening and searched for the two-meter-long constrictor, the fire department said.
Meanwhile, the owner found the boa constrictor, which had been missing for three hours, in the apartment.
She had crouched in the upholstery of the sofa.
Mission ended after an hour
After opening the sofa cover, the snake was captured and returned to its terrarium.
After an hour, all barriers around the apartment building were lifted again.
