(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 14 JUL - Over 500 women have sued Uber by denouncing being raped and harassed by their drivers.
This was reported by the law firm that is following the lawsuits filed in a San Francisco court.
The 550 women, who live in different states, "were raped, sexually assaulted, mistreated, persecuted, harassed or attacked by the Uber drivers who accompanied them," reads the document, according to ABC news.
The abuses took place between 2015 and 2022. The complaints came two weeks after the publication of a safety report by Uber in which it is revealed that there were at least 3,824 incidents of sexual violence between 2019 and 2020, ranging from the "kiss non-consensual "to rape.
