(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 16 - 89,830 new infections from Covid have been registered in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health, which also shows that 20 million infections have been reached in Italy since the beginning of the pandemic, i.e. since February 2020 (precisely 20,076,863).
The victims are 111 instead, down from 134 yesterday.
The rate is 22.5%, down from 24.6% yesterday and 398,338 swabs were performed in all, including antigenic and molecular.
On the other hand, 405 patients were admitted to intensive care, ten more than yesterday.
Daily admissions are 57. There are 10,434 hospitalized in ordinary wards, compared to 71 more yesterday.
