It would be the grand finale in a story full of twists and turns.
Apparently, singer Jennifer Lopez and actor Ben Affleck have married.
At least that's what several online media reported on Sunday, citing "insiders" and "people familiar with the process" who do not want to be named.
The celebrity portal "TMZ", for example, reports the wedding, according to which Lopez and Affleck "eloped" and "like a couple of children".
They got married in the Nevada desert, the report said.
And if you believe the "People" reporting on the subject, then the couple tied the knot in a "very small" ceremony.
'It was very, very small.
They just wanted to get married, so they got married," a source said.
Representatives of the two stars have not yet commented on the reports.
At least the following is confirmed: Lopez and Affleck got a marriage license in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This was announced by the responsible authority in Clark County.
The couple showed up at the Marriage License Bureau just before midnight local time on Saturday night, Chief Officer Lynn Goya said.
Within a year, the two could be getting married in Las Vegas with that approval.
According to Goya, the authorities had no confirmation on Sunday that the wedding had already taken place.
The document was requested by Benjamin Geza Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.
Her new name is there: »Jennifer Affleck«.
Affleck proposed to Lopez in April.
Lopez has been married three times, most recently to singer Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014, with whom she has two children.
Affleck was married to fellow actress Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018 and the couple have three children.
Affleck and Lopez themselves have considered getting married before.
The two were a couple between 2002 and 2004, when they were given the name »Bennifer«.
However, they postponed their wedding, which was planned for 2003 – and finally announced their separation in early 2004.
The couple found each other again in mid-2021 – the media dubbed them »Againifer«.
Earlier this year, Lopez called her "second chance" with Affleck a "beautiful love story."
